Some of the prophets who ‘foretold’ the helicopter crash killed 8 people

A horrific helicopter crash occurred in Ghana on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, which led to the death of eight people, including top government officials.

One of the issues that has emanated from the devastating crash, which has set the country in mourning, is the debate about prophecies.

Following the crash, several videos have emerged, which showed prophets foretelling that there was going to be a plane crash in Ghana, with some even giving timelines and mentioning some of the personalities who would be involved in the crash.

This has reignited debates about the prowess of prophets in the country. While a faction of the public argues that the accurate prediction of the incident means the country must take pastors seriously, others are questioning the revelations given by these ‘men of God’ and how they conduct themselves.

Here are the prophets who predicted a plane crash in Ghana and what they said:

Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah:

The founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Apostle Isaac Owusu Bempah, predicted that there would be some plane crashes in the country.

Owusu Bempah said that a number of powerful and prominent people were going to lose their lives in these crashes.

“If we don’t take care, there is going to be a number of plane crashes in this country. A number of prominent people are going to die; great people are going to die.

“If we are not careful, these crashes are going to happen this year,” he said at the 31st December Watch-Night Service on January 1, 2025.

Nigel Gaisie:

Prophet Nigel Gaisie, the founder of Prophetic Hill Chapel, also made a similar prophecy in July 2025.

He said that he saw a plane full of passengers crashing.

“I have seen a plane crashing, I have seen that a plane with passengers has crashed. What is today’s date?… 13th July. I have seen that a plane has crashed,” Nigel said.

Eric Boahen:

The founder of Reign House Chapel International, Prophet Eric Boah-Uche, prophesied that there would be a plane crash in the country.

He even predicted that the crash would happen in August 2025.

“A lot of things would happen in August… I saw vacant seats in Parliament, by-elections. This month, a plane is going to crash.

“Let us pray that God will divert these plane crashes from Ghana,” he said while speaking to his congregation.

Nana Kwame:

Prophet Nana Kwame of the Trinity Chapel also predicted that an aircraft was going to crash.

Speaking to his congregation before the incident, the prophet urged the public to pray fervently so that the crash would be averted.

He said that if the crash happened, it would be a big blow to the country.

“A plane is an aircraft, so is a helicopter. I saw an aircraft crashing. This is not good news. This is something that is going to lead to serious consequences. We have to pray against this thing because if we don’t pray, it is going to happen,” he said.

Prophet Roja:

Prophet Samuel Henry, widely known as Prophet Roja, also predicted a plane crash in Ghana and even mentioned that the plane was going to travel from Accra to Kumasi.

Prophet Roja, in an interview on Angel FM, explained that in the vision, the plane crash would be severe, and fewer than 20 people would survive. Because of this, he called on Christians in Ghana to pray to avert the disaster.

He also advised that, if possible, anyone who does not urgently need to travel by air on that date should postpone their trip.

“God is speaking to me right now, on the 29th of July, 2025. Please record this. Let all Christians in Ghana pray. This is a conditional prophecy. What I am seeing is that there is going to be a plane crash. I see a plane mid-air, and then it suddenly crashes. When it crashes, the number of survivors is up to 25. It is travelling from Accra to Kumasi,” he said in the video.
