Osei Tutu has already earned a call-up to Ghana’s U20 national team

A major grassroot scouting tournament organized by Nederland scout Hamzah Sadiek has uncovered one of Ghana’s most exciting emerging talents — an 18-year-old striker already making waves at national level.

Hosted at the Sofoline football facility in Kumasi, the tournament attracted nearly 300 participants from across the Ashanti Region. It has since been described as one of the most significant grassroots scouting initiatives in recent years.

Five Talents Identified — One Stands Above

From the large pool of hopefuls, Sadiek successfully identified five outstanding prospects. The headline act is prolific forward Solomon Osei Tutu, whose rapid rise has drawn national attention.

Osei Tutu has already earned a call-up to Ghana’s U20 national team, underlining his growing status in the country’s football landscape.

The 18-year-old striker’s explosive pace, intelligent movement, aerial strength, and clinical finishing have led many to compare him to Nigerian goal machine Victor Osimhen.

Outstanding Numbers at Sasaamo Panin FC

Currently playing for Sasaamo Panin FC, Osei Tutu’s statistics underline why he is regarded as a special talent:

• 16 goals in 16 games last season

• 11 MVP awards

• Currently leading the goal king chart in his zone

• 12 goals in 14 games this season

• 6 assists and 6 MVPs

His consistency in front of goal, combined with his all-round attacking contribution, has positioned him as one of the most productive young forwards in Ghana.

Senior National Team Attention

Such is his growing reputation that the head coach of the Ghana national football team paid a personal visit to observe the high school striker during a recent U20 training camp in Accra — a significant endorsement of his potential.

At just 18, Osei Tutu is already being monitored beyond youth football.

COPA SADIEK Set to Become Annual Talent Platform

Following the overwhelming success of the tournament, COPA SADIEK will now be structured as an annual scouting platform. The initiative aims to provide consistent opportunities for emerging talents to showcase their abilities and potentially secure professional contracts and international transfers.

Through vision, strategic networking, and international connections, Hamzah Sadiek continues to build pathways for Ghanaian and African footballers to access the global stage.

If Solomon Osei Tutu’s trajectory is anything to go by, the next Ghanaian star may well have been discovered in Kumasi.
