How could anyone have guessed? Ras Kuuku and Broda Sammy working together? Indeed, it did! God undoubtedly operates in many ways that are incomprehensible to man. According to the song, “Tumi,” which is the Ghanaian Twi language, means “Power.” Everything does prevail under God’s strength wherever it does. Therefore, God’s will is supreme over all others.

The MiPROMO Distribution platform launched “Tumi” on Wednesday, October 29, 2024. It can be found on all of the main music download and streaming services.

Ras Kuuku says of the song: “The song talks about the hustle in life, what we go through, and we pray that the Almighty God intervenes and let His Power protect us.” It is a reggae song that might be classified as gospel. “It was intentionally done with Broda Sammy on it so the message can reach the gospel community and spread the message it conveys in the lyrics,” he said. Bozybeatz produced the original version of “Tumi,” but Odukrom International Band performed it live, with IbeeOnDaBeat mixing it.

The song is the ideal choice for the feature because of the good synergy that Broda Sammy brought to it. One of the award categories Ras Kuuku closely watches is the Ghana Music Awards, where he hopes to win the Male Vocalist Of The Year Award. Ras Kuuku was nominated several times under the same scheme and won “Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year” in 2020. Under the handle Ras Kuuku, he is active on Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok.
