Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II, President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs and Paramount Chief of the Dormaa Traditional Area, has stated that there is no iota of truth in the claim that a spiritual being can command things from the skies for them to materialise into the physical realm.

According to the Dormaahene, the Golden Stool of the Ashanti people, known as Sika Dwa Kofi, which is said to have been summoned down from the sky by the high priest Okomfo Anokye, appeared welded when it was displayed in public.
He, therefore, cast doubt on the historical account of it being commanded from the sky.
Speaking during the launch of the Bonokyempem Council in the Bono Region on August 14, 2025, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II, known in legal circles as Justice Daniel Mensah and currently serving as a High Court Judge, stated, “If anyone tells you they can summon something to descend from the sky, I, Agyeman Badu II, am saying it is a lie.”
“Didn’t you see when the Golden Stool was recently outdoored, it looked welded? Didn’t you see?” he questioned.

Meanwhile, according to history, the Golden Stool is said to have descended in a cloud of white dust, amidst thunder and landed on the lap of the first Asante king, Osei Tutu I, by the command of the Okomfo Anokye, a fetish priest.
Dormaahene, on the other hand, has been an astute critic of historical narratives, especially those he has described as distorted facts in the country’s history.
