Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has assured Ghanaian youth that the country’s future remains bright despite present challenges.

In a heartfelt Christmas message delivered on Tuesday, the Speaker underscored Ghana’s enduring status as a beacon of democracy and a source of inspiration across Africa.

“Please, the youth, more importantly, the future is bright. I can assure you that Ghana is on the right path. We still remain the beacon of hope, the beacon of democracy, and the country that our colleagues in the African continent are looking up to. Ghana is still seen as the Mecca of the Black race”, he said.

Reflecting on the nation’s journey, Bagbin acknowledged past mistakes but highlighted Ghana’s 32 years of multiparty democracy as a foundation for its international acclaim.

“We might have faulted, but people still look up to us. Particularly as we have maintained this multiparty democracy for 32 good years”, he added.
