Papa Shee is a highlife musician turned preacher
Cousin and treasurer for the late Daddy Lumba’s funeral committee, Ebenezer Oppong, has reprimanded highlife musician turned preacher, Papa Shee to be careful of spreading contradicting information about the funeral date.
He explained that the funeral date came directly from Otumfuor and the Menhyia palace and no third party has the right to change it

“Nobody can change the date, Otumfuor has set his own date, Menhyia set the date so if anyone says anything contrary to that it is disrespect to Otumfuor and Menhyia. Papa Shee should be careful because he is not a family member,” he said.
Ebenezer reaffirmed the date and added that preparations have even begun for the funeral on the 13th of December 2025.
“Nobody should contradict the date because we have already mounted billboards and on the 13th of December, the funeral will be held live,” he added.
What Papa Shee said
Recently, Papa Shee stated that the advertised December 13, 2025, date for Daddy Lumba’s funeral will not hold, citing several unresolved issues that he said some family members are seeking to first address.
Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz on November 22, 2025, Papa Shee said some family members of the late musician had told him the burial cannot take place on the said date because key processes, including an autopsy and investigations into the cause of death, are still outstanding.
