Ghanaian media personality Tilly Akua Nipaa has come out strongly against her colleague David Germain Portfolio over what she describes as an insensitive and senseless defence of TikTok star GhKobby, who allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend, YaaBaby, in Yeji on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
Speaking during the Saturday edition of Showbiz Extra on Hitz FM hosted by Andy Dosty on June 14, 2025, Tilly did not mince words when she took exception to Portfolio’s reaction to the disturbing news.

According to her, it was deeply disappointing that someone like the popular events MC would rush to defend a person accused of such a horrifying crime simply because they used to live together.
David Germain Portfolio had earlier shocked many Ghanaians when he took to Facebook to defend Hayford Boateng, known popularly on TikTok as GhKobby, following reports that the young man had shot and killed his girlfriend.
In his post, Portfolio referred to GhKobby by his private name, K. Frimpong, and expressed disbelief that the young man could be involved in such violence.
“Jesus Christ, K. Frimpong? Naa, this can’t be true! This is someone who couldn’t kill a common fly when we stayed together!” he posted.
He added, “This gotta be an accident and wrong possession of fireman! Gh Kobby is too soft & harmless, 3san na aba cux how?”
However, Tilly Akua NIPAA, who was visibly upset during the Hitz FM program when Portfolio was phoned in to explain his controversial comments gave it to him hard after Portfolio attempted to justify his emotional reaction by citing his personal experiences with GhKobby.
“The comments were senseless,” she fired back, visibly angry. She went on to add: “You don’t defend someone who has allegedly taken a life just because he appeared soft years ago.
Tilly went on to accuse Portfolio of deliberately seeking attention through the post and the follow-up interviews.
According to her, she personally advised him to take down the Facebook post defending GhKobby, especially as the gravity of the case became clear, but he refused.
“What’s worse is that when I told him that the post was in bad taste, he didn’t delete it. Instead, he went ahead to grant interviews because the post was getting him attention. That’s disgusting,” she fumed.
