In the co-main event of the Jake Paul-Anthony Joshua show, unified super featherweight female champion Alycia Baumgardner (USA) defended against Leïla Beaudoin (Canada) in a bout fought with the traditional men’s rules of 12×3 minute rounds. Beaudoin started fast behind a snappy jab and took the initiative in the first round. They fought on even terms for the next couple rounds with very little to separate the two. By the fourth round, Beaudoin was sporting a black and blue mouse underneath her left eye and her knees were buckled in the fifth. By the end of the sixth, Beaudoin was sporting a mouse under her right eye. With five seconds left to go in the seventh, Baumgardner landed a beautiful right to the temple and Beaudoin crashed to the canvas. She beat the count and was saved by the bell. The steady beating continued when suddenly in the eleventh round, Beaudoin summoned something from deep within and nailed Baumgardner with a combination that had her bothered and the crowd excited. Beaudoin showed even more hard in the twelfth as she threw caution to the wind and landed more punches on Baumgardner To close out the final round. The final tallies were: 117-110 twice and 118-109 for Baumgardner, retaining her WBO/WBA/IBF super featherweight titles.
