Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor looked worlds away from Royal life when he was spotted walking his dogs the day before the King and Queen put on a unified front for their Easter church visit.

The disgraced former prince, 66, was pictured scowling as he walked his seven dogs around the grounds of the King’s Sandringham Estate in Norfolk on Saturday with his body guard.

He is currently staying Wood Farm on the vast estate which belongs to King Charles whilst renovations are taking place nearby Marsh Farm which will eventually be his permanent home.

The ex-Duke, who is being investigated over information he provided to Jeffrey Epstein, is expected to remain in Norfolk over Easter and will not attend the Royal Family‘s traditional service at Windsor this year.

He has been keeping a low profile since his arrest on suspicion of misconduct in a public office on his 66th birthday on February 19.

The images of him looking downtrodden whilst walking his dogs are a stark contrast to the smiley pictures of the Royal family at church for their traditional Easter Sunday service at Windsor on Sunday morning.

Charles and Camilla were this year joined at the Easter Matins service at St George’s Chapel by the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children – Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, ten, and seven-year-old Prince Louis.

Also present was Princess Anne and her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, as well as the Duke of Edinburgh and his son James, Earl of Wessex, 18.

The Royal Family’s Easter Sunday service is typically only attended by members of The Firm and their engaged or married partners.

However, there was, of course, no sign of Andrew, Sarah Ferguson or their daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

With the agreement of the King, they have made ‘alternative plans’ and will miss the traditional gathering.

Sources have maintained they will join the Royal Family at future occasions but in the current circumstances it was decided that they would stay away.

Senior royals were led by the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children down on foot from Windsor Castle, despite the blustery conditions.

The large – and notably young – party chatted happily as they walked.

Princess Charlotte, sporting a pretty dress under a warm camel-colours coat with a brown velvet collar and cuffs, looked delighted and waved to the crowd. Louis walked proudly beside her.

Also in the group were The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, with The Duke of Edinburgh and his son James, Earl of Wessex, 18.

Peter Phillips, and his fiancé, Harriet Sperling, were also in attendance with his daughters Savannah and Isla.

And for the first time, in a sign of the new, blended royal family, Ms Sperling’s daughter, Georgina, 15, was also in attendance with her new step-sisters to be.

At the rear of the group were Lady Sarah Chatto and her husband, Daniel.

Finally, the King and Queen were driven down in the State Bentley, Camilla sporting a red wool crepe dress by Fiona Clare and a hat by Philip Treacy with a brooch which had belonged to Queen Elizabeth II.

King Charles looks full of good spirits as he warmly greeted his family despite the chill winds, sweetly touching his granddaughter, Princess Charlotte, on the shoulder.

Last year, Charles and Camilla were joined by the former Duke of York and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson at the 15th century chapel on Easter Sunday.

Since then, however, Andrew has been stripped by the King of both his right to be a prince and his dukedom over his association with paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein, though Beatrice and Eugenie kept their princess titles.

Meanwhile, Andrew faced a security scare on Thursday when a man and girl were seen climbing the fence surrounding Marsh Farm.

He was inspecting what will become his permanent home when a red car pulled up outside.

Two people got out and proceeded to scale the exterior gate before attempting to peer over a newly erected 6ft fence in front of the farmhouse.

Pictures show a man and a girl stood on top of the gate while trying to catch a glimpse inside the property, which is undergoing renovation works ahead of Andrew’s move in the coming weeks.

But they didn’t stay for long as Andrew’s security was quick to react and defused the situation before the pair jumped back in their car and drove off.

Andrew appeared to spend the afternoon at his new house and was seen meeting up with the Sandringham estate manager, Edward Parsons.

Builders have been working flat out to get Marsh Farm ready for Andrew, fitting luxury carpets, a Sky dish and a fast broadband connection.

Andrew was seen visiting the property just a day earlier as he was spotted behind the wheel of his Range Rover wearing a maroon cable-knit jumper, with his security guard next to him in the passenger seat.

Last weekend, he was spotted inspecting horses near to his home, despite him reportedly being urged to stop riding.

It is understood that aides feared it would be a ‘bad look’ for him to be seen enjoying himself while he is under police investigation for misconduct in public office.

Before moving to Sandringham a few weeks ago, Andrew was regularly seen horse riding around Windsor.

And earlier last week, he had a second-hand static caravan delivered to his current home, which has been propped up on bricks in his garden, bearing signs of moss.

The caravan – a £26,000 Willerby Meridian Lodge – was paid for using money his brother, King Charles, gave him for ‘living expenses’ and it will house his security detail as there is not enough space in his main Norfolk home.

Andrew has denied any wrongdoing in connection to his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and Virginia Giuffre.
