Cristiano Ronaldo is never one to shy away from speaking his mind, and his latest comments have once again stirred debate in the football world.

Ronaldo and Messi may no longer share the same league, but their rivalry refuses to fade.

The Portuguese superstar, who has been a key figure in the Saudi Pro League since joining Al-Nassr, has taken a swipe at Major League Soccer (MLS), home to his long standing rival, Lionel Messi.

Claiming that the level of competition in the United States falls short of what Saudi Arabia has to offer.

With Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League and Messi in Major League Soccer, their battle for footballing supremacy has taken on a new dimension.

Speaking in an interview with El Chiringuito, the former Real Madrid star expressed his belief that MLS cannot compete with the Saudi league.

“It is clear that the American league is worse than the Saudi league. The people who talk don’t know what they’re saying—only the players understand,” Ronaldo stated.

Since leaving European football, both legends have become the faces of their respective leagues, drawing comparisons on everything from the quality of play to global influence.
