Coventry City FC manager Frank Lampard has heaped praise on Ghana forward Solomon Thomas-Asante for his outstanding goal in the team’s 2-0 win over Swansea City in the EFL Championship.
Thomas-Asante scored a brilliant lob in the 44th minute, just before halftime, to help Coventry secure their fourth consecutive win.
Lampard was impressed by the quality of Thomas-Asante’s goal, describing it as “an individual moment of brilliance, instinctive, but real quality.”
He added that the goal was a testament to Thomas-Asante’s hard work and dedication, saying “These things come off the back of doing all the right things, all the right hold-ups and all the right runs, but that was something outstanding.”
Thomas-Asante has now scored four goals in 29 league appearances for Coventry, who have moved up to 11th place in the 24-team league standings with the win over Swansea.
