Tess Crosley’s husband, Ben, appears to have travelled to Bali with several of his friends amid Lachie and Julie Neale’s marriage saga.

Ben was photographed at the luxurious Bambu Fitness centre in Uluwatu, having appeared to have just completed a fitness session with his two friends, Tom Bennallack and Seth Mutton.

The finance director, who works for the Hong Kong-based New Heritage Investment company, was seen smiling for a shirtless photo with his two friends after the workout, with Bennallack sharing the snap on his Instagram story.

Bennallack had also tagged Crosley and Mutton in two other posts, showing a group of people completing a series of high-intensity workouts in the gym. The second post appeared to show Bennallack sitting by the pool at the stunning Bali fitness retreat.

Ben and Tess are understood to have married back in 2017.

Over the years, the couple have shared snaps of themselves alongside Julie and Lachie Neale.

The couples had previously seemed to have been good friends.

However, Tess has now found herself embroiled in Lachie and Julie’s marriage breakdown.

On December 22, Julie had publicly demanded that her former close friend Tess remove a photo from Instagram of herself celebrating the Lions’ premiership victory.

In a now-deleted comment, Julie told Tess that she had been ‘embarrassing herself’.

‘Take these down, you idiot, you’re embarrassing yourself,’ Julie wrote.

Julie later wrote on Instagram that she had been betrayed.

‘I want to make it very clear that I am not “working through” anything,’ Julie wrote, in response to speculation around her and Lachie’s relationship. ‘I have been betrayed in the most unimaginable way.’

There is no suggestion by the Daily Mail that Tess had done anything improper.

Last week, Tess was seen leaving her Brisbane home looking downcast. The former Mormon missionary was also not seen wearing her wedding ring.

It came after Lachie had announced to the media on Friday that he and his partner Julie had separated. The 32-year-old also announced that he would be stepping down from his role as Brisbane Lions captain.

‘While I won’t go into specifics, I can say that I have let my family down and I apologise for my actions that have let down those who are closest to me. And for that I am deeply sorry,’ the two-time Brownlow winner told members of the media.

‘I accept the consequences of my actions, and I need to focus on rebuilding that trust with Jules as the future wellbeing of our children remains our number one priority.’

Neale, who has two children – Piper and Freddie – with Julie, added that he has ‘regrets’ about his personal life.

But when asked whether he could address the rumours on whether he had cheated on his wife, he said bluntly: ‘No, I cannot address those rumours.’

On New Year’s Eve, police had been seen arriving at the Crosleys’ home, with Tess pictured peering through an upstairs window.

A Queensland Police spokesperson later said that officers had arrived at the couple’s home to complete a ‘welfare check’.

There was no suggestion that either Ben or Tess had engaged in any improper conduct following the visit by police.

Ben had answered the door, with officers seen walking down the property’s driveway with several pieces of luggage.

The police spokesperson said: ‘Officers attended [the address]… and took possession of a number of items following a welfare check.

‘There is no criminal matter being investigated; as such, no further information will be provided at this time.’

On Monday, it was confirmed that Lachie, 32, has now vacated his $2.43million marital home in Brisbane, and has moved into a new bachelor pad.

He cut a downbeat figure as he unloaded his belongings from a truck into his new property.

The back-to-back premiership-winning captain’s career with Brisbane is now looking uncertain, with Lachie’s contract at the Lions set to expire at the end of this year.

The Lions skipper, who was raised in South Australia, had been asked whether he’d return to Western Australia during his press conference, having previously played for Fremantle for several years before being drafted to Brisbane.

Neale is understood to have met Julie in Perth. The pair were married in 2018, and moved to Queensland together after Neale was signed to Brisbane.

‘I haven’t really considered that yet,’ Neale said when asked if he’d move back to WA.

‘My decision was always going to be put on hold with my contracts regardless, so we’ll work that out in the next six months.

‘We’ve got a bit of time.’

Julie is understood to have returned to her home in Perth over the festive period, and was seen celebrating their son Freddie’s first birthday on Instagram earlier in December.
