Telecel Ghana has been named the anchor tenant for Globe Tower, a landmark Grade-A mixed-use office development being undertaken by Goldkey Properties in Accra.

The announcement marks a significant milestone for the project and underscores growing confidence in Globe Tower as a preferred business address for both local and international organisations.

A statement issued by Goldkey Properties in Accra and copied to The Ghanaian Times said the development, which is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2027, would comprise a ground floor and 13 upper floors of premium office space designed to meet the needs of modern businesses.

According to the statement, Telecel Ghana’s decision to establish its presence in the building reflects the company’s confidence in the quality of the development and its strategic location within the Cantonments City enclave.

It noted that Globe Tower was being developed to serve organisations seeking a professional environment that supports growth, innovation and operational efficiency.

The tower will also feature a dedicated restaurant on the third floor, which will be open to both tenants and visitors, providing an additional hospitality service within the development.

Goldkey Properties described Globe Tower as more than just another addition to Accra’s skyline, saying the project had been designed to combine distinctive architecture with functionality in one of the capital’s most prestigious business districts.

Located within Accra’s diplomatic enclave, the development is close to Jubilee House, the Ghana Police Headquarters, United Nations offices, the American, French, Canadian, Korean and Chinese embassies, as well as the Kotoka International Airport.

The statement said the location would provide businesses with easy access to key government institutions, diplomatic missions and international organisations, while improving convenience for clients, partners and employees.

Designed by the internationally acclaimed Magna 5 Group, Globe Tower will feature a rectilinear architectural form intended to project stability and professionalism. A central atrium with a suspended globe will serve as the building’s signature feature, reflecting its international outlook.

Landscaped terraces on the upper floors and an open ground floor have also been incorporated into the design to create an accessible and collaborative working environment.

Goldkey Properties said the quality of a workplace and its location increasingly influenced how businesses were perceived by clients, investors and prospective employees.

Furthermore, it explained that Globe Tower had been designed to meet Grade-A international standards, with modern infrastructure and flexible office spaces suitable for multinational corporations, diplomatic missions, international organisations and leading Ghanaian companies.

With Telecel Ghana confirmed as the anchor tenant, leasing has commenced for the remaining office spaces within the development.

The company encouraged businesses planning expansion, relocation or consolidation to begin discussions early with its leasing team to secure suitable office space before completion.

It noted that early engagement would enable organisations to align their long-term property requirements with their broader business strategies rather than treating office relocation as a last-minute operational decision.

Goldkey Properties said Globe Tower forms part of its ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality developments within Cantonments City to meet the evolving needs of the corporate sector. It expressed confidence that the combination of the development’s prime location, modern facilities and strong tenant profile would further strengthen Cantonments City’s position as one of Accra’s leading centres for business and investment
