One of the teenagers responsible for Baltimore’s worst ever mass shooting has been sentenced to ten years in jail.

Tristan Jackson was involved in the ‘Brooklyn Day’ bloodbath which killed two and injured 28 others during a block party in the Brooklyn Homes area of the city in 2023.

He pleaded guilty to four charges last month including including second-degree assault, use of a firearm in a crime of violence, conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, and a minor in possession of a firearm,  Fox Baltimore reports.

He was sentenced to 45 years in jail, with all but ten years suspended as part of a plea deal. Jackson will be eligible for parole after serving five years.

The state had sought a 50 year sentence suspended to 12 years.

Aaliyah Gonzalez, 18, and Kylis Fagbemi, 20, were killed when gunfire erupted at the party on July 2, 2023.

Dozens more people were injured, including 15 minors some who were as young as 13.

Jackson is among a group of five juveniles who were charged in connection with the mass shooting. None of the suspects are facing murder charges.

Hundreds of people gathered in the area for an event called ‘Brooklyn Day,’ a witness said.

Dramatic footage showed the moment revelers fled the block party in the Maryland city during the early hours of the morning.

Surveillance footage given to CBS by Baltimore Police Department featured dozens of people sprinting through the streets after shots were fired at 800 Gretna Court in the Brooklyn Homes neighborhood around 12.30am.

This is a developing story, check back for updates.
