A teacher has been struck off after she fled the scene of a brutal attempted murder with her ex-pupil boyfriend.
Laura McEwan was with Matthew Davidson when he attacked William Taube in a Glasgow street.
It is understood McEwan and Davidson had formed a sexual relationship after he had been removed from school in May 2019.
Davidson, now 22, and fellow thug John Wilson launched a vicious and unprovoked assault which saw unarmed Mr Taube knifed eight times in August 2020.
He suffered bleeding around his heart and a collapsed lung in the attack.
McEwan and Davidson left the scene of the stabbing before police and paramedics arrived and she then allowed him to stay at her house.
She also tried to persuade a witness to the incident to not to tell police her name and address.
PE teacher McEwan, who was faculty head at a Glasgow school, was hauled before the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS).
She admitted a string of allegations against her and was struck off for two years, according to the General Teaching Council for Scotland.

McEwan also confessed to drinking alcohol with former S6 pupils in April 2019 and allowing a photo of her doing so to be taken which was later posted on Facebook.
She further admitted driving Davidson home from school in her car at some point in 2019.
McEwan signed an order to remove herself from the profession which saw her admit her conduct after the attempted murder was ‘dishonest’ and ‘lacking integrity’ which meant she was unfit to teach.
At a hearing in March 2021, Lord Mulholland told Davidson and Wilson they were ‘very lucky’ not to have been facing a murder charge after they admitted attempted murder.
