Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz and his long-time girlfriend, Zuchu, have stunned netizens with the surprise announcement of their marriage on social media.
In an Instagram post shared on June 1, 2025, the couple posted romantic photos from their private wedding ceremony, accompanied by a poetic caption.
He stated, “Among the things I have learned is the maturity of staying silent… This maturity requires a high level of patience, it requires you to have a patient heart and especially to strengthen your spirit when someone or people are accusing you of some evil in society, but you have your truth but you are required to just stay silent,” he said.
Diamond used the moment to reflect on how he had managed to keep their relationship out of the public eye, despite ongoing public perceptions of him as a womaniser.
The Tanzanian musician added he would detail his love story at the appropriate time.
“Anyway, I know each of you has a completely different picture of Diamond Platnumz and marriage, but today I want to tell you that this Diamond Platnumz has already married, and one day I will tell you how it happened,” he added.
The post from the “Marry You” hitmaker has since sparked reactions from fans, as netizens have congratulated the couple.
