The Northern Regional NPP Chairman, Mohammed Fuseini Sadat

The Northern Regional Branch of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has suspended its Tamale North Chairman, Mohammed Fuseini Sadat.

The decision to suspend Mohammed Fuseini Sadat comes on the back of a petition presented to the party by polling station executives of the Tamale North constituency.

The petition cites various concerns and several breaches and violations of the party’s constitution.

Among other things, Mohammed Fuseini Sadat was accused of shooting and injuring one Mr Karim Alhassan, a polling station organizer, over a misunderstanding on the night of January 17, 2025.

Mohammed Fuseini Sadat has also been accused of leading thugs to forcefully take a pickup from the driver of the parliamentary candidate for the constituency in the 2024 elections.

The Tamale North Chairman has since been suspended and the petition forwarded to the regional disciplinary committee for further action.
