Ghana Premier League legend, Charles Taylor has made a U-turn on Accra Hearts of Oak coach, Didi Dramani after labelling him as “technically bankrupt.”

Charles Taylor while speaking after Hearts of Oak’s goalless drawn game against Bechem United on Sunday, February 2, 2026, described Didi Dramani as a tactless coach with no tactics.

“The supporters cannot be happy because the coach doesn’t know any tactics. Show me the tactics he played in the game since you are doubting what i am saying? Charles Taylor told Angel TV Sports host while reacting to the game.

Just two weeks after his disparaging remarks, Charles Taylor reversed his stance after Didi Dramani led a 10-man Hearts of Oak team to beat rivals Asante Kotoko 1-0 in Kumasi.

Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday, February 15, 2026, defeated Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the first time since the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.

Taylor in an interview with Angel TV hailed the tactics of Didi Dramani and proclaimed him as “the next Attuquayefio”

“I want Didi Dramani to know that i love him and sometimes i will criticize him if the right thing is not done. But on Sunday he showed that he is a good coach, the way his team controlled the game even though they were a man down. Didi should be given the chance to work and he can be the next Attuquayefio,” Charles Taylor said.

Jones Attuquayefio is widely regarded as one of Hearts of Oak’s most successful and iconic coaches.

The late Attuquayefio won 4 Ghana Premier League titles, 3 FA Cups, Ghana Super Cup, the CAF Champions League and Cup Super Cup in 2000 and 2001 respectively.
