A Queensland mother-of-three and suicide prevention advocate has tragically taken her own life.

Renee Gooch, 37 has been remembered as a ‘gorgeous, selfless, giving soul’ by devastated loved ones after she died on October 23.

In a touching final gesture, loved ones said that Renee and her three children were known to help the homeless.

Family friend Rebecca De Broughe, who set up a GoFundMe to raise money for Renee’s three children, said her close mate ‘loved to give and help others’.

‘Most of all, Renee loved her children and family the most,’ Ms De Broughe said.

‘Renee comes from a family of givers – her mother Vicki and father Craig, generous hard working people that have over the years helped many and opened the doors of their home to plenty.

‘Her brothers Brent and Matt both genuine, kind and funny and oh how they adored their sister deeply.

‘On Renee’s last birthday she took herself and her children blanket dropping instead of partying and running a muck.

‘Renee and her three babies walked the streets looking for homeless people and gave them blankets from their own home.

‘That was Renee, it did not matter what day it was or what the time was, if Renee had the means to help someone, she most definitely would and did.

‘Renee’s passing is a true tragedy and even more so tragic as she took her own life.’

‘Renee’s departure is a great loss to us all and this world will be a little less loud without the sound of her infectious laugh and a little less bright with her beautiful smile and gorgeous green eyes – Renee truly was a rare human, a rare beauty.’

Ms De Broughe said Renee had a lust for life which extended beyond children.

‘Renee loved many things in life: music, art, nature, adventure, hiking, lollies and candy, exploring new places, skydiving, laughing and making people giggle,’ Ms De Broughe said.

Renee also loved the beach and ‘any body of water’, tattoos, animals, pineapples, sunflowers, and green was her ‘favourite colour’.

‘Lola, Charlie and Chase have a lot of support but we all know how expensive children and everyday life can be so in honour of the most gorgeous kind generous giving soul we all knew, lets give back,’ Ms De Broughe said.

‘Let’s show her three beautiful children how much they are loved, how much we all love their Muma bear and how much their beautiful mother Renee inspired us all to give.’

Renee was a suicide prevention advocate and loved ones say her death is a reminder to be kind to everyone.

‘Suicide is at an all time high and if you knew Renee then you know she was a massive advocate of suicide prevention.

‘So let’s all remember to reach out and to be kind, to those whom we know and those in whom we don’t.’

Ms De Broughe said all the funds raised will go to Renee’s children to ‘help with their future’.
