Police have made an arrest after a woman and man were found dead at a home in Sydney’s northwest.
Emergency services were called to an Illabo Street home in Quakers Hill just before 5am on Sunday after reports of a disturbance.
They arrived to find a man lying on the footpath, suffering from multiple stab wounds.
A woman’s body was found inside the home.
She is yet to be formally identified.
The injured man was treated at the scene before he was rushed to Liverpool Hospital, where he is now fighting for life.
Detectives established a crime scene and cordoned off the street.
Forensic teams combed the home and quiet suburban street for evidence as police launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A man, 47, attended Blacktown Police Station shortly after the incident, where he was arrested.
He is assisting detectives with their inquiries.
No charges have yet been laid.
Police have not disclosed the relationship between those involved.
