The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has issued a caution to the general public over an unauthorised billboard promoting the No-Fees-Stress policy.

In a statement released on Thursday, July 31, and signed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Students Loan Trust Fund, Dr Saajida Shiraz, the SLTF expressed concern about the use of its official logo, as well as that of the Ministry of Education, by some institutions without prior approval.

“Whilst we appreciate the public’s association with the flagship policy and its phenomenal impact on the lives of students and families, we wish to caution against the unauthorised use of our logo and that of the Ministry of Education for such promotional activities,” the statement read.

The SLTF emphasised that although it welcomes collaborations that enhance its mandate of providing timely financial support to tertiary students, any such initiatives must be done through formal engagement with its Corporate Communications Directorate.

The STLF reaffirmed its commitment to service delivery and urged individuals or groups interested in supporting its activities to follow proper channels.
