English center-man Stuart Attwell has been appointed as referee for the international friendly between Ghana and former world champions Germany, scheduled to take place in Stuttgart as both nations continue their preparations towards the 2026 World Cup.
The 43-year-old is one of England’s experienced referees in top-flight football, comes into the fixture with recent high-profile assignments, including the Premier League clash between Manchester United and AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
He will be supported by assistant referees Simon Bennett of England and Ross Macleod of Scotland, with Farai Hallam named as fourth official.
The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) duties will be handled by Matt Donohue, assisted by Sian Massey-Ellis, both also from England, completing a fully experienced officiating team for the match.
The crew is expected to play a key role in maintaining control and fairness in what is anticipated to be a competitive and high-intensity test, with both Ghana and Germany using this to continue to assess their squad before the Mundial.
The match is scheduled for 18:45 GMT (6:45pm) on Monday, March 30, at the MHP Arena in Stuttgart
