Lawrence Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bullgod, has addressed Shatta Wale’s recent disclosure about being dragged to court by the entertainment pundit and artiste manager.

In an interview, Bullgod admitted to the latest legal development while explaining the reasons behind the defamation case he initially filed against Shatta Wale in 2022.

He also reflected on his earlier decision to settle the case out of court until Shatta’s latest claims that he is being sued again.

In November 2022, Shatta Wale was sued by Bullgod for publicly stating that the latter had a role in the death of Kwaw Kese’s former manager, Fennec Okyere.

After a prolonged legal battle and a failed out-of-court settlement, Shatta Wale, visibly frustrated by the latest lawsuit, has expressed his anger.

He claimed that despite Bullgod publishing his unreleased songs from a new album, it was he (Shatta) who is being sued.

Shatta further vowed not to spare Bullgod or any lawyer or judge overseeing the case this time around, saying, “I am waiting for some lawyer or judge to call me like the election would be paused. I’m getting tired of the system. I was even jailed when some pastor predicted my death, and I’m still alive, what sort of country is this?”

“How can all these foolish problems keep coming to me every day while I just fold my arms and watch?” Shatta added in an interview with Angel FM.

But Bullgod, responding to Shatta Wale’s comments, said, “So now he is threatening judges? I took him to court because he said I told him I killed Fennec, and that case is still unresolved. Because of what Shatta said, some people from the NPP started trying to conspire against me with my colleagues. One of my very close friends, someone I sit on radio with all the time, was called and connived with the party.”

Bullgod went on to explain that Shatta’s allegations had put him in a difficult position, and he felt the need to protect himself.

“People don’t know that Fennec was my friend. He used to eat at my house, my wife used to cook for him. So, if you don’t know the background, don’t talk anyhow. If I were a bad person, I would have sued Shatta for a million Ghana cedis.”

Bullgod also responded to Shatta Wale’s claims regarding the publication of his unreleased album tracks, stating that he had only shared a tracklist and that most of the song titles were already public knowledge.

He further clarified, “Does he have proof of what he said? At least I have proof that I have served him a writ of summons. Most of the things he said, I don’t understand them. Is there evidence that I put his album out? It was the tracklist I put out there. Everything I put there, is out there already. Naira Marley sat here and said he had a song with Shatta Wale. He already said he has a song with Vybz Kartel and so on.” he stated.

On the topic of Shatta’s recent shift in attitude, Bullgod, who is a staunch member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), revealed that Shatta Wale had reached out to members of the party to intervene on his behalf in a bid to secure a performance gig.

Bullgod recounted a conversation with Bola Ray, where it was revealed that Shatta Wale had requested that the NDC officials “beg” Bullgod to smooth over any issues between them so he could secure the gig.

“I have shown you Bola Ray’s chat (pointing at one of the panelists). It says someone called from Mahama’s office to get Shatta on a show, and as part of his negotiations, Shatta told the NDC officials that he has an issue with me, so they should beg me for him. And now you go on radio and say this? He should stop playing gangster because he will come back and beg again. I’m not a difficult person,” Bullgod stated.
