Award-winning Ghanaian artiste Stonebwoy is set to perform live at the opening ceremony of the 24th CAA African Seniors Athletics Championships on May 11 in Accra.
The celebrated dancehall musician, known in private life as Livingstone Etse Satekla, is expected to entertain fans and athletes as Ghana officially opens one of Africa’s biggest athletics competitions.
The upcoming championship in Accra will bring together some of the continent’s best athletes while also creating an atmosphere of entertainment, culture and sporting excellence through top-level competition and memorable performances.
Ghana is preparing to host a successful and historic edition of the championships, with Accra expected to welcome thousands of athletes, officials and supporters from across Africa for the event.
The competition will serve as another major opportunity for Ghana to showcase its ability to host international sporting events while promoting tourism and African unity through sports.
The 24th CAA African Seniors Athletics Championships will run from May 12 to May 17, 2026 at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon.
