Shatta Wale has added a new twist to his industry rivalry, stating that Stonebwoy inherited his feud with Samini.

He stated, however, that he has no personal issues with Stonebwoy.

During a TikTok live on January 15, 2026, Shatta Wale explained that the entertainment industry initially used Samini to “fight” him.

He said when stakeholders within the entertainment industry realised Samini was losing influence, they then brought Stonebwoy into the mix. He noted that former Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Mark Okraku-Mantey, had even acknowledged this on radio.

I made $3 million from selling 300 songs from my catalogue – Shatta Wale

“Stonebwoy and I don’t have any problem. I have been saying this every time. Stonebwoy does not have any beef with me; it’s Samini’s beef that Stonebwoy has inherited. After they finished using Samini, they felt Samini was weak, so they wanted to use Stonebwoy to fight. Mark Okraku-Mantey has said it himself on radio. These are history,” Shatta Wale said.

Shatta Wale added that his actions were always aimed at protecting the interests of the entertainment industry, but stakeholders misinterpreted his efforts and labelled him disrespectful, which ultimately cast him as an enemy of the industry.

“My only problem was that, ‘Why are DJs not paying me? Why are radio stations putting my face and name on shows without informing me?’ and they said I don’t respect. I was fighting for those things for every Ghanaian artiste, so stakeholders will stop that nonsense thing, and that got me to become an enemy to the industry,” he explained.

The Shatta Movement boss further noted that once he became an enemy to the industry, stakeholders, particularly in the media, began using his colleagues against him.

However, he said he cannot pinpoint exactly how the supposed “beef” with Stonebwoy started.

“As an enemy to the industry, they found somebody to fight me, and Samini was the beginning. Currently, if you ask me what happened between me and Stonebwoy, what has made us have this beef, I can’t tell you; but if you ask what happened between me and Samini, I can tell you,” he added.
