Dancehall star Shatta Wale has set the record straight about his relationship with longtime industry rival Stonebwoy, revealing that the two actually live just five minutes apart and maintain a friendly connection.
According to a report by adomonline.com, the ‘Taking Over’ hitmaker, speaking in a social media post, blamed the media for exaggerating tensions between Ghanaian artistes and creating false narratives of rivalry where none exist.
“People would be shocked to know that Stonebwoy, Samini, and I are actually cool. But the media only highlights drama because negativity sells. Even Stonebwoy isn’t happy with how they twist things,” Shatta Wale revealed.
While acknowledging that some competitive hype comes with the entertainment territory, he urged fans to distinguish between manufactured controversies and reality.
“When I see people worried about peace among us, I know the media has planted that idea in their minds. Even Stonebwoy himself doesn’t like that. But I understand, it’s part of the game, and sometimes, we just play along,” he added.
