Medikal is a Ghanaian rapper

Ghanaian rapper Medikal has taken to social media to express his displeasure after a netizen criticised his appointment as an official ambassador for the National Youth Authority (NYA) “Red Means Stop” campaign.

In a post shared on X on February 27, 2026, Medikal responded to a critic who claimed he did not deserve the ambassadorial role, bluntly telling the netizen to ‘shut up.’

According to the rapper, the critic is envious of his influence and achievements in the music industry.

“It’s interesting how my influence bothers you this much. Clearly, I’m impactful enough to command your time and attention,” he said.

Medikal further argued that the netizen should not project personal frustrations onto the government, stressing that not every challenge in life is the fault of the authorities.

“Don’t project personal frustrations onto leadership; not everything wrong in your life is the government’s fault. Step up or shut the hell up,” he added.
