Prince David Osei has advised security personnels to vote wisely Prince David Osei has advised security personnels to vote wisely

Ghanaian actor Prince David Osei has urged security services to make wise and informed decisions by voting for the New Patriotic Party and keeping them in power during the special voting exercise on Monday, December 2, 2024.

In a post directed at security personnel on his official page on November 30, 2024, the staunch NPP supporter emphasised the importance and impact of this year’s election, especially within the security agencies.

He warned that voting for the wrong candidate could undermine the progress made by the ruling NPP government within the security forces.

According to David Osei, the government’s efforts have significantly improved and positively impacted the security services, particularly in terms of logistics, resources, and facilities for their profession.

“I urge you to carefully consider the progress and support the NPP government has provided for you in the security forces. Thanks to their efforts, you have received better equipment, training, technologies, and facilities that have elevated your profession and enhanced your effectiveness,” parts of his post read.

Referring to a video purportedly of the NDC threatening to dismiss some security officials from office, David Osei cautioned the security personnel not to vote for a party “who are not even in power yet but threatening the security apparatus.”

He added, “It is essential that you make informed decisions when casting our votes, as the wrong choice could jeopardize all the advancements we have seen. Let us not forget the threats made by certain individuals to harm and dismiss members of the security forces if they come into power.

“Remember, your duty as security personnel is crucial for the safety and security of our nation. Let us vote wisely to protect our progress and ensure a secure future for ourselves and our country. Stay informed, stay vigilant, and together, let all of you safeguard your profession and the nation you serve.”
