Gospel singer, Selina Boateng, has recounted what she describes as sabotage in the music industry.
In an interview with Emelia Brobbey on “Okukuseku The Talkshow” shared on social media September 7, 2025, Selina Boateng noted that an industry “gatekeeper” cautioned presenters to refrain from promoting her songs.
Selina Boateng explained that the said individual, whose identity she failed to disclose, paid presenters not to promote her songs even though she had no personal grudges with the person.
“I have a lot to talk about. Someone decided to keep an eye on me in our own industry. I always say that my husband brought me into the limelight. So as a young artiste, I thought everyone would like me, but there was this woman who was calling presenters and media houses to stop promoting my songs,” she said.

Selina Boateng further noted that a presenter disclosed the information to her after she had constantly demanded her songs be aired.
“Even though we had paid the presenter, my songs were not being played. So anytime I ask him, the only thing he tells me is that they will do it. He later informed me that a female singer warned him not to play my songs because I was new to the industry. Meanwhile, I was inside the music industry before she even did,” she added.
