Ghanaian musician Ayisi has explained that he took a break from the media and music scene to focus on personal matters but continued recording in the studio during that time.

In an interview on Joy Prime TV, the “Can I Live” singer shared that although he had stepped back from the media scene, he was never far from the music itself.

According to Ayisi, he was dealing with personal issues that needed his attention and even during that period, he continued to visit the studio to record songs.

“I took a break because I wasn’t going for interviews and was handling some personal stuff too. But I was always going back to the studio to record and getting ready for the right moment when everything had settled,” he explained.

Ayisi added that he didn’t want to rush anything. He preferred to wait for the right time to come back stronger.

“I’m not the type of person that will wait for everything to cool down before I’ll take actions,” he said.

The artiste noted that even though he wasn’t in the public eye, he was still focused on his music.

“I was still recording and going to the studio, doing what I should be doing and when the right moment came, I’m out here again,” he stated.

When asked whether he felt any pressure seeing other young artistes like KiDi and Kuami Eugene rise to fame, even though he started music before them, Ayisi answered that he has come to understand that not everyone is meant to chase fame.

“Now I’ve realized that some people are not made for the fame and all of the other stuff; some people are made for purpose,” he said.
