The leader of Asomdwee Ntonton Som, Okronkronyi Nyame Somafo Yawoh, has encouraged Kumawood actor and skitmaker Collins Oteng, popularly known as Okomfo Kolege, to stay strong during the burial of his late mother, Afia Pokuaa, in Kumasi.

Addressing mourners on Saturday, October 25, 2025, Somafo Yawoh consoled the grieving actor and his family with words of faith and encouragement.

He commended Kolege for his resilience, humility, and outstanding contribution to the Ghanaian movie industry despite enduring painful personal losses.

The final funeral rite for Afia Pokuaa was held at Anloga Junction in the Ashanti Region. The late Madam Pokuaa passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at the age of 68.

Her passing comes three years after the actor lost his wife, Millicent Oteng, who tragically died during childbirth in November 2022.

The solemn event drew several Kumawood stars, friends, and sympathizers who joined the family to offer their condolences and support as they laid Afia Pokuaa to rest.
