Ghanaian-Romanian singer, Deborah Owusu-Bonsu, popularly known as Sister Derby, has chastised Asiedu Nketia over his remark about the anti-LGBTQ bill in Ghana.

The Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who was speaking at a rally in the Ashanti Region, categorically stated that the party is against gay and lesbianism.

He added that all the religious bodies in the country are also against the activities of gays and lesbians in Ghana.

In this regard, Asiedu Nketia urged President Akufo-Addo to sign the anti-LGBTQ bill passed by Ghana’s parliament into law.

Following his statement, Sister Derby in a post sighted by Zionfelix.net, tagged Mr Nketia as a hypocrite—and recounted that he wore a women’s coat in 2015 when he was on an official visit to Germany.

She wrote on X: “Ghanaian man, who in 2015 wore a women’s coat during an official visit to Germany, wants an anti-LGBTQ bill that will jail people for cross-dressing to become law. Hypocrisy!”
