Ghanaian singer Sista Afia has remained single for about eight years, not because she is unwilling to commit, but because of her deep affection for a man who has never returned her love.

Speaking on The Delay Show, she revealed that this unrequited bond has shaped her personal life, making it difficult for her to pursue lasting relationships. She admitted that one man has consistently been at the center of her world, and despite her efforts to show him love and care, he has never given back the same energy.

“Maybe it’s because the person I love doesn’t feel the same way about me. There’s someone I love so much, but he does not love me back. It’s funny how this world works. Someone out there would want me so badly that they would do anything to be with me.”

Sista Afia explained that even though other men have expressed interest in her, she has struggled to move forward because of her feelings for this particular person. The emotional connection, she said, has been so strong that it has closed her off from anyone else.

“We have been together for a long time, and I’ve shown him my love through my actions. I always make time for him, but he doesn’t reciprocate that effort.

“That’s why I feel I love him more than he loves me; he knows it too. I haven’t been in a committed relationship for eight years, and it’s all because of him,” she stated.
