Ghanaian songstress Sista Afia recently made headlines after expressing her disappointment in industry colleagues for not promoting her latest single, Krekete Soja, featuring Amerado.

The singer took to social media to lament the lack of support from friends in the music industry, despite frequently assisting them in their endeavors.

“I released a tune #KreketeSoja and most of my so-called colleagues/friends haven’t even posted or shared to show their support. But they will run to me when they need my help. Funny people smh! I am watching y’all. #NoLove #FakeLoveEverywhere,” she posted.

While her fans have largely rallied behind the “Weather” hitmaker, and encouraged her to stay motivated, one particular follower criticized her style of music, suggesting it was outdated.

The said follower wrote under a post of Sista Afia on Instagram: “Why will they support when you’re still doing 2004 type of music?”

Sista Afia wasted no time clapping back, saying, “In your mind you think you’ve said something sensible? This is highlife music and it’s not dead 🙏🏾.”
