Sista Afia has reacted to the speculation following the unexpected appearance of Tracy Shay on stage at her 10th Anniversary All-White Party concert in Koforidua. She issued a formal statement to address the growing backlash around the incident.
The debate took shape after a video from the concert began circulating online, showing Tracy Shay, the goddaughter and protégé of Wendy Shay, performing during the event. The moment quickly sparked discussion across social media platforms, particularly after Wendy Shay shared a cryptic post the following day that many interpreted as a reaction to her mentee’s appearance, which she reportedly had not approved.
As questions mounted, Sista Afia turned to her social media platforms to set the record straight, rejecting claims that she had a direct hand in bringing Tracy Shay onto the stage.
“My attention has been drawn to a number of social media stories, videos, and write-ups suggesting that I personally invited the young lady, Tracy Shay, onto the stage during my concert,” she stated.

The singer stressed that the decision was not hers and that she had no involvement in the circumstances surrounding the performance.
“I wish to clearly state that I have no knowledge of how or when she got onto the stage, and I did not personally invite her to do so,” she added.
Sista Afia also stressed that her focus remains on the broader significance of the event, which marked ten years of her journey in the music industry, a milestone she described as both rare and deeply meaningful.
“At this moment, my main focus is on the overall success of my 10th Anniversary Celebration in the music industry, which was a significant milestone for my career,” Sista Afia averred.
According to the statement, discussions are ongoing behind the scenes as her team reviews how the situation occurred, with assurances that further clarification will follow once those engagements are complete.
“I am currently holding a series of meetings with my management and team to review all aspects of the event. A detailed response on this matter will be issued at the appropriate time.”
Amid the controversy, the singer took time to acknowledge the support she received during the anniversary concert, expressing appreciation to fans, colleagues, sponsors, and well-wishers who contributed to what she described as a memorable celebration.
