The Ghana Education Service has announced an optional Easter break for Form 2 students in Senior High and Senior High Technical Schools operating under the Transitional Track system. This break is scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 17, and end on Monday, April 21, 2025.

“Students who wish to travel home and celebrate the Easter festivities with their families should be given the opportunity to do so,” the GES statement reads. Additionally, all students who travel home are expected to return to school on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, to resume academic activities promptly.

The Ghana Education Service emphasizes that this break is not mandatory, allowing students to choose whether to participate. Those who opt to remain on campus will be permitted to do so under appropriate supervision. This move aims to provide flexibility for students and families during the Easter period while ensuring academic schedules remain uninterrupted [GES statement].
