Rapper Kojo Cue has expressed mixed feelings about concerts that feature an extensive lineup of artistes, arguing that such events often dilute individual performances and make it difficult for any act to truly shine.

In an interview on Hitz FM’, the rapper explained that concerts packed with too many artistes usually leave fans struggling to remember most of the performances.

My music usually comes from a real place – Ko-Jo Cue

He made the comment when asked about his absence from Sarkodie’s Rapperholic Homecoming concert, which took place on September 27, 2025, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

“I have a love-hate relationship with shows that have everyone on it. It’s not helping our show culture, because every artiste is on every show, so why won’t one save their money to attend Rapperholic instead?” he said.

Kojo Cue added that such events tend to overshadow performers who are not headliners. He believes the habit of repeatedly booking the same artistes for every show limits variety and hurts the overall concert experience.

“There are too many people billed on a show. I think a Sark show should have about two more artistes and himself and that’s it. So that when people go for other shows, they know it’s different and have more experiences,” he said.

The rapper is currently promoting his latest single, Tontonte, which features Ofori Amponsah and Arathejay.
