(L) Davido GH and Showboy (R)

Ghanaian music executive and entrepreneur Davido GH has accused Showboy of attempting to extort money from him and tarnish his image through social media attacks.

Speaking in an interview with Abena Moet on Neat FM on February 7, 2026, Davido GH claimed that the controversial socialite repeatedly made online videos targeted at him in an attempt to pressure him into giving him money.

According to him, several people kept forwarding the videos to his attention, prompting him to seek intervention from some community leaders.

“He does things that he thinks would make me panic and I will give him money. He kept making videos to post online and my people been forwarding them to me. I narrated to the street leaders what Showboy was doing,” he said.

Davido GH noted that although the leaders initially spoke to Showboy and he agreed to take down the videos, he allegedly returned shortly after to insult them online.

“He can’t be playing with everything because things like this don’t end well. They spoke to him and he told them he would delete everything. After an hour, he posted that all land guards are aimless. It means he’s also disrespected the leaders I texted,” he stated.

The entrepreneur further alleged that Showboy directly demanded money from him, a request he declined, fearing it would encourage further harassment.

“He started demanding money from me but I told him I wouldn’t do that. If I give him money and entertain him that much, he would take that on my family if I’m not available and I don’t want that to happen,” he explained.

Davido GH revealed that he later reported the matter to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

“I had to go to the CID headquarters and report him. I never did anything illegal with Showboy,” he shared.

He also dismissed claims of any shady dealings between them, saying the allegations stemmed from false assumptions after Showboy once saw him in a friend’s car.

“He once saw me in my friend’s Range Rover so he thought it was mine and he started spreading false rumors about me. He was bullying me on the internet, but I’m not the type who would on my camera and start ranting. I really respect myself so I can’t do that,” he said.

Davido GH challenged Showboy to provide evidence of any wrongdoing.

“He wants to ruin my reputation, but I dare him to bring evidence that shows that we both had an illegal deal,” he added.
