Videos making waves on social media has shown Ghanaian rapper cum socialite, Sam Safo, popularly known as Showboy, allegedly being arrested by the Ghana Police Service.

According to videos circulating on social media, the musician was being arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on allegations of blackmailing entrepreneur and music executive David Mensah, widely known as ‘Davido GH’.

The video captured Showboy being questioned by some men bearing vests with the CID insignias on them. This happened while he was with his phone, engaging with netizens during a live TikTok session.

A visibly angry Showboy was then captured resisting arrest while some armed policemen tried dragging him away.
