Ned Nwoko and Regina Daniels seem to be going through a rough patch in their marriage Ned Nwoko and Regina Daniels seem to be going through a rough patch in their marriage

Nigerian politician and business mogul, Ned Nwoko, has broken his silence over allegations of domestic abuse labelled against him by his wife, popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels.

This comes after Regina Daniels had shared a post on social media alleging abuse and maltreatment by Nwoko, which was met with massive reactions on and off social media, with many calling for his arrest.

However, in a social media post shared a day later on October 19, Ned Nwoko shared his side of the story.

He claimed that he had never abused Regina and that she was the abusive and destructive one in the house.

In the post, which was accompanied by a video showing broken glass, damaged furniture, and the smashed windscreen of a Ferrari, he accused her of engaging in drug and alcohol abuse and of violently attacking domestic staff.

“Now she has moved to a place where she will have unrestricted access to drugs. I have other wives, and none will ever accuse me of violence. Regina is the violent one here, slapping and hitting 3 staff in the past 48 hours and destroying property, including cars and windows, for no just cause,” he said.

He further asserted that she threatened to kill a household nurse who confronted her about her alleged drug use.

He claimed he had already laid down conditions: she must accept rehabilitation either in Asokoro (Nigeria) or abroad (Jordan) to prevent access to substances.

Nwoko added that the incident occurred after he had rushed one of their children to the hospital when she refused to take care of him.

According to him, Regina, along with two other individuals she claimed were drug suppliers, had orchestrated the violence in his absence.

“While I took Moon to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier. Another known supplier of drugs to Regina is the tiny evil devil called Ann,” he claimed.

‘Ned Nwoko ran away after hitting Regina’ – Actress’ elder brother speaks on abuse in her marriage

    How did this start?

On the evening of October 18, 2025, Regina Daniels shared a distressing video across social media platforms, in which she appeared visibly upset and in tears, claiming she was being mistreated in her matrimonial home.

In the clip, she was seen packing her bags, signalling a desire to leave her shared residence.

“In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing … Not again, I can’t stand the violence; it’s too much,” she was heard stating.

Her words quickly triggered public outcry, with many demanding a thorough investigation and even calls for the arrest of the senator.

Her elder brother, Sammy West, also stepped in, accusing Ned of sending thugs and assaulting his sister:

“You get luck say after you beat my sister again, smash her head for wall, you run comot send thugs!”

West vowed to defend Regina with “his blood” and insisted no one, regardless of fame or power, should get away with violence against a woman.

However, this new revelation by Nwoko adds a new twist to the story.

Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety. Now she has moved… pic.twitter.com/STlC6fyZPn
