Days after being released from the EOCO custody, dancehall musician Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has once again sparked fresh discussions online.
In a video shared on Instagram by GH Hyper on August 24, 2025, the dancehall musician was seen undergoing a ritual bath shortly after paying homage to the Teshie Gbuglah Mantse Palace, Nii Martey Larye, to express profound gratitude for his support while in EOCO’s custody.
The “On God” hitmaker was accompanied by his team who stood to offer morale support throughout the process.

Shatta Wale was detained on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, after voluntarily appearing at the EOCO headquarters in Accra with his lawyer, Cephas Biyuo.
The inquiry centres on allegations of irregularities surrounding the luxury vehicle, which was earlier seized by authorities on suspicion of being connected to a wider financial scandal in the United States.
Also, a probe of possible breaches of Ghana’s tax regulations relating to the car is being conducted.
