Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale was unintentionally pushed to the ground by a fan during a performance in Kumasi on July 19, 2025.

The incident happened while he was performing his hit song, Taking Over, which features the SM Militants, at the Golden Dew Hotel.

In a video shared on social media, the self-proclaimed Dancehall King was seen entertaining the crowd when an overly excited fan rushed onto the stage.

The fan, in an attempt to get close to Shatta Wale, ended up bumping into him while being chased by security guards.

The force of the impact caused Shatta Wale to fall onto the stage floor. Security officers quickly intervened, dragging the fan offstage.

Shatta Wale, who got back on his feet almost immediately, paused his performance to address the situation.

Upset with the situation, he expressed his frustration with the fan’s behaviour and questioned what would have happened if he had been injured.

He also used some harsh words towards the fan to show how seriously he took the matter.

Some people at the venue were heard commending Shatta Wale for staying calm and continuing the show after addressing the issue.
