Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has disclosed what he believes draws corporate brands toward artistes, following the overwhelming success of ShattaFest 2025.

According to the Shatta Movement boss, discipline, relentless hard work, and consistency are the real ingredients that make any artiste appealing to major sponsors.

Speaking to journalists during a media interaction at MTN MobileMoney Ltd (MoMo Ghana) on Monday, October 20, 2025, Shatta Wale expressed gratitude to the telecom brand for supporting his flagship concert. The visit formed part of his post-event appreciation tour after ShattaFest 2025 lit up Independence Square on Saturday, October 18.

“Discipline, hard work and how we push the agenda of everything we do. To have a brand like Momo Ghana partner my ShattaFest shows that the corporate world is watching and always ready to support people like us,” he said.

The event, which was held as part of his 40th birthday celebration, attracted thousands of fans who flooded Independence Square to honour one of Ghana’s biggest entertainers.

Talking about his partnership with MTN MoMo, he described it as a “dream come true”. Wale also said he intends to make ShattaFest a yearly event that travels across regions and eventually beyond Ghana.

“We’re all shocked, even I’m shocked about the numbers,” he admitted. “I believe everybody should be happy now with the turnout we had.”

He added, “I believe with a few more collaborations with MTN MoMo and other affiliations, we’ll have it every year.”

MTN MoMo CEO Shaibu Haruna, who also addressed the gathering, said he was surprised by the magnitude of Shatta Wale’s following.

“I had no clue the kind of following you have. I obviously knew you had a powerful following, but this weekend was extra special,” Haruna stated.
