Joint 77 has opened up about what he considers a major breach of trust by Shatta Wale during their time together as members of the SM Militant group.
The former SM Militant member said Shatta Wale travelled for his collaboration with American singer Beyoncé without telling him or the other members of the group, despite the close bond they shared at the time.
Speaking in an interview on Max TV, Joint 77 recalled that he was with Shatta Wale on the day he left for the shoot and even ate with him before his departure.

He said Shatta Wale, however, kept the purpose of the trip to himself and left without informing anyone in the crew.
Joint 77 explained that he only learnt about the music video project after Shatta Wale had travelled and encountered difficulties, prompting him to reach out.
According to him, Shatta Wale appeared to believe that revealing details of the project to the group could jeopardise the opportunity.
Joint 77 said he was particularly hurt because he had placed a great deal of trust in Shatta Wale and considered their relationship to be much deeper than a professional association.

He recalled being present with the other members when Shatta Wale left for the shoot, saying they had no idea where he was going or what he was going to do.
Joint 77 said Shatta Wale later contacted him after arriving at his destination and facing challenges, at which point he explained what had happened.
The former SM Militant member said the incident contributed to his growing feeling that his loyalty and affection for Shatta Wale were not being reciprocated.
He also pointed to what he described as a broader pattern in which Shatta Wale would perform songs they had recorded together without involving the group in his shows.
Joint 77 said he eventually decided to distance himself because he felt the opportunities associated with their collective work were not benefiting the group as he had expected.
He recalled instances where Shatta Wale performed their hit song Taking Over alone while delivering the verses originally recorded by the Militant members.
According to Joint 77, there were also occasions when Shatta Wale would travel to perform the group’s songs without informing them in advance, deepening his sense of disappointment.
