Stonebwoy’s BhimFest concert at the OVO Arena Wembley in the United Kingdom has attracted attention from an unexpected quarter, with longtime rival Shatta Wale weighing in on the controversy surrounding the event.

The Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has dismissed suggestions that there was anything embarrassing about Stonebwoy allegedly covering parts of the 12,500-capacity venue during the concert.

Stonebwoy recently took his much-anticipated BhimFest show to the UK, drawing a sizeable crowd to the London venue.

However, footage from the event later circulated on social media, with some users claiming that portions of the arena had been concealed with curtains because of empty seats.

Shatta Wale addressed the issue during a live TikTok session, arguing that even if the reports were accurate, Stonebwoy had done nothing wrong.

He suggested that an artiste could deliberately configure a venue to match the expected audience rather than leave large sections of empty seats exposed.

“It’s not a shame at all. Maybe you want to use the venue to create a profile for yourself. Do you understand me? I can also decide to hold a show at the O2 and invite you to come and sit in one chair. They can put curtains around the place and set up one table. I’ll perform, sweat on stage, and later write ‘sold out.’

“It’s not that Stonebwoy has done anything wrong. He understood his size and arranged the venue in a way that suited him, and that’s exactly what he has done,” Wale stated.

Shatta Wale’s comments stand out given his long-running rivalry with Stonebwoy, which has frequently placed the two dancehall giants at the centre of debates over their respective achievements and influence.

Rather than joining the criticism over the venue setup, Shatta Wale appeared to frame the decision as a practical move by an artiste seeking to create the right presentation for his concert.
