Kwame Dadzie (L) and Shatta Wale (R)

Ghanaian musician Shatta Wale and media personality Kwame Dadzie have clashed on social media over comments Shatta made about the Ghana’s entertainment industry.

In a Facebook post, Shatta Wale criticised the entertainment media in Ghana, saying they spend too much time discussing issues that don’t bring any financial benefit. According to him, this is one of the main reasons the industry is not progressing.

“The entertainment media in the country are wasting a lot of time talking about things that doesn’t bring money. Becareful creatives,” Shatta wrote.

Kwame Dadzie reacted to Shatta’s statement, questioned what kind of conversations or content would actually bring money, as suggested by Shatta.

He also took a swipe at Shatta Wale’s approach to public commentary, often seen as controversial and confrontational.

“What are the things that bring money? Maybe you could help by listing a few. We will appreciate.

Or should we put on bonnets sometimes, put powder on our faces, go live and launch a tirade on people? Or discuss how some artistes revel in vulgarity? Show us the way, Odogwu. What are friends for? We are in this together,” he responded.

Shatta Wale replied to Kwame Dadzie’s comment with an insult, the musician accused the journalist of being one of the problems in the entertainment space.

“As for you you are one of the foolish people in that entertainment industry with that your mouth odor.

You see the way my message touch you. ‘Who feels it knows it. ‘Bob Marley said it ampa’” Shatta Wale reiterated.
