Veteran Highlife musician Akosua Agyapong has defended her stance on premarital sex, stating that sexual compatibility is a key factor in preventing divorce and adultery.

One would recall that after an earlier interview with Joy FM, Agyapong drew backlash on social media after advising couples to have sex before marriage.

Clarifying her stance In an interview with Onua FM, Agyapong argued that many marriages fail due to sexual incompatibility, leading to frustration and adultery.

“The reason I said that was because, according to the Bible, God does not like adultery and divorce. And the major vow of marriage is, for better or for worse, till death do us part

“If you look at one of the causes of divorce, it is sexual incompatibility; people marry people they do not really know on a sexual level,” she said.

She added that couples who are about to get married should be aware of their sexual compatibility to avoid being frustrated in marriage.

“So if you’re about to get married, and both families know you’re about to get married and have given their blessings. What is wrong with it?

“This is someone you are about to be with for better or for worse. So if a man who likes sex marries a woman who does not like sex. He would be frustrated and end up committing adultery,” she said.
