Several US warplanes have crashed in Kuwait but their crews have survived, according to officials.
Video shared on social media showed one US fighter jet crashing in Kuwait today, with the plane on fire and an ejected pilot parachuting to the ground.
The crash happened within 6.2miles of the US Ali Al Salem base in Kuwait according to CNN, who geolocated the video.
Kuwait’s Defence Ministry confirmed that several US warplanes have crashed but their crews have survived.
The pilot caught on video successfully ejected and was seen alive and walking on the ground.

The jet caught on video had twin engines consistent with an F-15E or F/A-18 fighter jet. The US operates both jets and Kuwait operates F/A-18 jets.
It is unclear why the aircraft crashed nor has it been confirmed which air force the plane belonged to.
