Seven players who distinguished themselves in the 2025 Education Through Sports football tournament have been awarded scholarships to aid their footballing careers.

The footballers are Inusah Abubakar, Abdulai Baba Moro Asare, Kofi Dabie Emmanuel, Rasco Abassah London, Hussein Yahaya, William Kofi Arthur, and Naseem Issaka.

Each of the awardees was given an amount of money to manage their finances and motivate them to perform better.

As part of the package for the awardees, a special training session will be organised for them to receive skill sets psychologically, physiologically, and socially.

The session aims to groom the players in managing their careers financially, signing contracts, and building them properly as they join various clubs to showcase their potential.

During the Dinner and Awards night on June 20, 2025, the Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, commended the organizers, noting that the government will support them to make it bigger going forward.

The Founder and Head of Mission of the Diaspora African Forum, Dr Erieka Bennett, stated that they plan to include women in subsequent editions.
