The next SES Boxing Gala will once again take place in Chemnitz . Following the overwhelmingly positive response, numerous requests for a repeat performance, and the consistently sold-out first two editions of the SES event at the “Kraftverkehr Chemnitz” event venue, this was an easy decision. Chemnitz not only boasts an enthusiastic and highly knowledgeable boxing audience, but on November 22, 2025, the SES Boxing Gala will also be enriched by the semi-final bouts of the 31st International Chemnitz Boxing Tournament, held as a prelude to the professional boxing evening. Thus , Kraftverkehr Chemnitz will once again be a truly special venue for the sport of boxing!

SES promoter Ulf Steinforth: With Chemnitz, we have the boxing stronghold here in Saxony. After the overwhelmingly positive experiences of recent years and the very enthusiastic boxing fans, everything fits together perfectly here with Chemnitz as the European Capital of Culture 2025. This naturally leads to European title fights, which are sure to be exciting and high-profile. The main event is for the WBO Europe light heavyweight title, with our own Artur Reis facing the reigning WBO champion Mateusz Tryc: for me, one of the most exciting fights I’ve ever promoted ! Artur is the challenger, Mateusz Tryc the champion, and I can’t stress enough how tough and uncompromising his boxing style is. He’s a cool guy, not a coward . And now there’s a second WBO Europe title fight on the card. Armend Xhoxhaj finally has another chance at an international title, and I think he’s capable of it! So Chemnitz this weekend is all about Europe! Furthermore, we have partnered with the BC Chemnitz boxing club, the “Wolves,” and the Saxony Boxing Association to host the 31st International Chemnitz Boxing Tournament, which will take place here as a prelude to the SES Boxing Gala. The semifinals will be held in our ring as part of the preliminary event. We have enjoyed a fantastic relationship with Olaf Leib, the co-organizer, for many years and actively cultivate the connection between Olympic and professional boxing. This close and professional form of cooperation should become standard practice in German boxing in the future. For us, Chemnitz is simply boxing-mad, and it’s fitting that there are only a few tickets left!

    The main battle:

The duel of the European champions: Artur Reis, the IBF titleholder, will face the current WBO champion Mateusz Tryc from Poland in the fight for the WBO Europe light heavyweight championship!

It was a bloody fight in May at SES Boxing’s anniversary boxing gala in Magdeburg for the IBF Europe title , and it will likely be described in boxing chronicles as a bloodbath. SES super middleweight Artur Reis was well aware of his physical strengths and those of his strong opponent, Mate Rudan from Croatia. Accordingly, both boxers entered the fight dynamically, and it was extremely fast-paced and full of physical contact over the entire distance. Early on, the Croatian suffered two cuts on his head, and the bleeding continued throughout the fight. Thus, Artur Reis, who himself Despite suffering minor cuts, Artur Reis gained the upper hand with his highly dynamic and awkward boxing style. After ten thrilling rounds, he was the clear and unequivocal winner on points, celebrating his IBF title . Now he moves up to light heavyweight and will face WBO Europe champion Mateusz Tryc. Tryc secured the title at the SES boxing gala in Potsdam in May against Nick Hannig in a fantastic fight with a final TKO victory. This will be a kind of rematch, as Tryc’s technical and somewhat surprising physical abilities put an end to the title ambitions of Berlin’s local favorite, Nick Hannig. For the now 33-year-old Wolfsburg native , Artur Reis (whose birthday was on November 18th), this WBO title fight against the formidable belt holder Mateusz Tryc is another opportunity to give himself a belated birthday present and climb even higher in the world rankings with a victory.

Sound bites from the press conference at the Plaza Inn Hotel Chemnitz:

Artur Reis : “You could see with Mateusz Tryc that he’s a tough guy, never gives up, and fights hard. He always goes forward, but he doesn’t like to retreat. For us, it’s also something of a revenge, because I’ll do everything I can to bring the title back to Germany. My trainer, Dirk Dzemski, constantly surprised me during the preparation and pushed me hard with many top-class sparring partners. That was also the case in the sessions with IBF world title challenger Michael Eifert – that was, for example, fantastic sparring and the final fine-tuning. Now it’s time to clear my head and focus on this opponent. Let me be clear: Mateusz, I’m a completely different boxer than Nick Hannig – prepare to be surprised!”

Mateusz Tryc : “I had twelve weeks of good preparation ; we implemented everything we had planned. Now we ‘re looking ahead to Saturday : As the defending champion, it’s my duty to shape the fight in such a way that I win and defend my title .”

Dirk Dzemski: “I’ve seen Mateusz Tryc in videos so often that I don’t want to see him again for a while. All joking aside, to put it simply – we’re perfectly prepared for anything Mateusz might throw at us. Artur has been fully committed to training, there haven’t been any complications, and so I’m sure he’ll take the title!”

    The second title fight:

Armend Xhoxhaj from Nuremberg will fight Niklas Räsänen, the Finnish number 1, for the WBO Europe title in the cruiserweight division!

    WBO Europe Championship Light Cruiserweight

Armend Xhoxhaj (KOS) vs. Niklas Räsänen (FIN)

With his recent decisive victories, he has finally qualified for a title fight again! SES cruiserweight Armend Xhoxhaj aims to reclaim his long-sought international title in Chemnitz with a fight for the WBO Europe Cruiserweight Championship . The 31-year-old Xhoxhaj , who lives and trains in Nuremberg, could quickly break into the top 15 of the world cruiserweight rankings with another win and the WBO title. However, he faces a strong and experienced opponent in Niklas Räsänen (19-4-1 (10)), the number one ranked boxer in Finland, who undoubtedly shares the same goal and wants to take this WBO title back to his home country after several title fights. Armend Xhoxhaj can be sure of the massive motivation and support of the Chemnitz crowd and his traveling fans in what will be his third appearance in Chemnitz!

Sound bites from the press conference at the Plaza Inn Hotel Chemnitz:

Armend Xhoxhaj: “ The Finn is a strong man, but I know what I’m capable of, I know how to win after the good preparation. I’m in top shape, I’m going to get that belt!”

Coach Mete Alijaj: “Our motto is, ‘He who hesitates is lost!’ And Armend has no inhibitions and he can also take a hit. We are sure that we will win!”

    The other battles:

“Team Germany” heavyweight Michel Dobler now wants to prove himself against Alessandro Jandejsek in Chemnitz over six rounds!

Third fight, third victory! “Team Germany” heavyweight Michel Dobler defeated his opponent in Aschersleben. Timo Grote no chance and dominated with his height of two meters and especially with his “fast legs”. Now, the aspiring high school teacher aims to continue his success in Chemnitz. In his fourth professional fight, he plans to face the Italian-born Czech boxer Alessandro Jandejsek, his first six-round bout. The 34-year-old Jandejsek, from Brno, Czech Republic, stands at 1.95 meters tall, a similar height to Dobler, and boasts an impressive record of seven knockouts and nine wins in his 14 professional fights. For Michel Dobler , considered by renowned boxing experts like legendary trainer Ulli Wegner to be Germany’s most promising heavyweight talent, Dobler will be the upcoming “test case.” With such high expectations, the ambitious “Team Germany” heavyweight is eager to tackle this first six-round fight and live up to his own high standards.

Sound bites from the press conference at the Plaza Inn Hotel Chemnitz:

SES coach Dirk Dzemski : “Michel has developed so extremely well physically and mentally in the last six months – he already needs this six-round fixture and challenge!”

Michel Dobler: “I’m aware of the challenge of having to go six rounds. My opponent is more experienced and probably has showmanship. I’ve been told that he had a role on Czech TV in ‘Love Island’ – well, maybe I should consider that too if things don’t work out with boxing!”

Max Suske from Stralsund will start his bid for a Junior World Championship title in Chemnitz – he will spend his final training weeks in Chemnitz with coach Georg Bramowski at the “Feel Good Club”!

Stralsund’s SES super middleweight boxer Max Suske plans to return to the ring at an SES boxing gala in Chemnitz. The protégé of trainer Georg Bramowski is returning from maternity leave and is currently training at the “Feel Good Club” in Chemnitz, alongside IBO world champion Osleys Iglesias, among others. He will face Poland’s Mateusz Pawlowski in a six-round bout. For For 23-year-old Max Suske, the big goal remains to qualify for a Junior World Championship title fight . In his thirteen professional fights, he has emerged victorious eleven times, nine of those bouts ending with a knockout. His most recent opponents, Poland’s Adam Cieslak last November in Chemnitz and Karen Gevorgyan from Greifswald in April in Potsdam, were also decisively defeated. For the young and likeable fighter from Stralsund, Max Suske now needs to continue this winning streak in Chemnitz to secure his desired title fight.

Further professional fights featuring Armenius Rolle (welterweight / Berlin), Ole Rätzel (super welterweight / Magdeburg), and Agasi Margaryan (middleweight / Greifswald) are scheduled for the SES boxing gala in Chemnitz . Unfortunately, the planned fight of heavyweight Ingolf Zocher has been cancelled due to illness.

MDR will broadcast this SES boxing gala from Kraftverkehr Chemnitz in the program “SPORT im Osten – Boxen live” starting at 10:15 pm .

Very few tickets for this SES boxing gala on November 22, 2025 are still available at www.eventim.de , at all ticket outlets and via the SES ticket hotline 0391/7273720.
